Man and His Environment(人和环境)

Throughout history man has changed his physical environment in order to improve his way of life. With the tools of technology he has altered many physical features of the earth. He has transformed woodlands and prairies into farms and made lakes and reserviors out of rivers for irrigation purposes or hydroelectric power. Man has also modified the face of the earth by draining marshes and cutting through mountains to build roads and railways.

However, man's changes to the physical environment have not always had beneficial results. Today, pollution of the air and water is an increasing danger to the health of the planet. Each day thousands of tons of gases come out of the exhausts of motor vehicles. Smoke from factories pollutes the air of industrialized areas and the surrounding areas of the countryside. The pollution of water is equally harmful. The whole ecological balance of the sea is being changed and industrial wastes have already made many rivers lifeless.

Now environmental protection is more pressing than ever before. As we know, massive destruction of environment has brought about negative effects and even poses a great threat to man's existence. Indifference to these problems will mean committing . Therefore, effective measures should be taken and laws passed to conserve environment. Otherwise,man is certain to suffer from the serious consequences caused by this lack of care for his living surroundings.

The environmental pollution is worse and worse /more and more seriously today. Water is polluted ,we have no clean water to drink Many trees are cutting down, some animals is getting less and less.Some factories is poring dirty air in the sky , the population is increasing faster and faster ,resources is getting less and less…etc. Not only does it affect our lives and health, it also has a great affection in the future.

The first fact I worry about is noise pollution. People can"t sleep well if there is too much noise. That"s why so many people prefer to live in the countryside rather than live in the noisy city. I suggest all the factories and cars shouldn"t make terrible noises. If they make terrible noise that isn"t allowed, they will be fined, and we can also produce the cars which can"t make terrible noise.

The other pollution is rubbish pollution. If everyone makes so much rubbish, one day we may live in a world filled with rubbish. Some people throw the waste paper about. I suggest rubbish should be put into different kinds of dustbins or paper bags.

In today's world, nature is seriously damaged by the endless exploitation of resources. In order to save the dying earth, people around the world are calling on people to protect the environment, to cherish the resources, and to participate in it and enjoy it.

One Sunday when I was a child, I found a lot of plastic cans and newspapers in my house. All sorts of things, but they all lie quietly in a big box and "sleep", it looks like be free and at leisure. I'm going to send them to a nearby dump. I thought: all these things can be recycled, and it would be a shame if we couldn't use them. Why not make a classified bin? Right! To start! First of all, I use two abandoned big box into a trash can, divided into the recyclable bins and recycling bins, some let a person easy to distinguish, after paint the bin is completed. My "masterpiece" was born, the family also slowly accepted, also really bring many benefits to the whole family: 1. After each made a dustbin, took a lot of garbage recycling, there is no need to again and again went downstairs to throw rubbish. The trash can also be thrown in the dustbin, which our family affectionately refers to as "garbage." Most families use plastic bags to hold the trash, and they throw away the plastic bags when they take out the trash. And we don't have to, we just put the box in the public bin. Avoid "white pollution"! 4. We need classification of the bin, we are at home or in the litter have good class, into the trash can before, just a fall can be finished. You don't have to sort it out in a hurry.

Today, we should start from scratch and carve out an awareness of environmental protection. 小时候的一个星期天，我在家里发现有许多废旧塑料的饮料罐、报纸。各种各样，但它们都是静静地躺在一个大盒子中“睡觉”，显得闲来无事。我打算将它们送去附近的垃圾场。我心想：这些物品都能循环使用，如果不能物尽其用那可真是太可惜了!何不做一个可分类的垃圾箱呢?对!说干就干!首先，我用两个废弃的大箱子做成垃圾桶，分为可回收垃圾箱和不可回收垃圾箱，涂上一些颜色后让人容易分辨，垃圾箱就完成了。我的“杰作”诞生，家人也慢慢接受了，还真给全家带来不少好处呢：1.每次做了一套垃圾箱后，把大量垃圾废物利用了，就不需要一次又一次地下楼去丢垃圾了。2.制作完的垃圾箱中也可以丢垃圾，我们一家人亲切地称作“垃圾(指用垃圾做的'箱子)中的垃圾”。3.大多数家庭都是用塑料袋子拉装垃圾的，在倒垃圾时，会把塑料袋一起丢掉。而我们不用，我们直接把箱子丢入公共垃圾箱中。避免了“白色污染”!4.我们小区的垃圾箱需要分类，我们在家中或是在丢垃圾的时候就已经分好类了，到了公共垃圾箱前，只需一倒便可完事。不用心急火燎地当场分类了。

今天，我们应该从头做起，把环保的意识刻在心扉。用我们的行动和智慧，让绿草如茵，让山水如画;让蓝天更蓝，让白云更白;让村庄安宁，让城市靓丽;让城市和谐，让环境优美。只有这样，我们才对得起大地母亲，对得起儿孙后辈!

This has caused some serious problems. Such as the land is sandy, the river is dirty, the air is less clean, even the temperature of the earth is rising. What should we do to save the earth ? My suggestion is that we should plant more trees, put rubbish into dusbins and stop factories (from)pouring waste directly into the air or rivers. In all, we have only one earth, we should do our best to protect it, or we will regret.
