1) very, much

这两个副词都可表示“很”，但用法不同。Very用来修饰形容词和副词的原级，而much用来修饰形容词和副词的比较级。例如：

使用零冠词的典型情形

所谓用零冠词，即既不用定冠词，也不用不定冠词。这类情况主要有：

1. 表泛指的不可数名词或复数名词前。如：

Snow was failing. 正在下雪。

Children get a better education today than at any time in the past. 现今孩子们受的比过去任何时候都好。

2. 倒装的让步状语从句中：在as(虽然)引导让步状语从句前面的单数可数名词前不用冠词。如：

环保是我们每个人要做的事情，使我们每个人的责任，你一旦生活在地球，你就要保护环境，因为我们要为我们的子孙后代着想，给他们一个好的身活环境，而不是去破坏环境，危害我们的子孙。

保护环境是我们的责任，而有的人却说：这是一个重任，我们是个小人物，这应该给大人物去办，我们不破坏就行了。面对这种说法，很多人都同意，而我就反对。其实，环保不止是大人物的事情，还是我们这些市民的事情，而他们就去治理大事，我们就治理我们的事情，管好自己的小事，因为环保是从一件小事做起的'。

保护环境其实是一件小事，不扔一件垃圾、不砍一棵树、不用一次性用品……也许，你有条件的话，就回收一件垃圾、种一棵树、再次用一件物品……这都是保护环境的行为，就是如此简单，不用你做更难的事情了，环保只是这么简单。
