报上名后我才知道，全市有二千多人参加这次比赛，选拔赛后只有500个晋级名额，一听到这个消息，我马上像泄了气的皮球，没有信心了。那天晚上，轮到我上场了，我从容地走上台，勉强把稿子背了一遍，下台后才发现嘴里竟还含着口香糖呢！没想到公布成绩时我竟然也晋级了！真让我又惊讶又高兴！

复赛时，我的分数不是很高，但还是顺利晋级。这下我忽然担心起来，生怕决赛时被刷下来了。回家后，我又把稿子重新修改了一遍，把每个单词、每个句子都反复朗读，做到精确无误，还用心设计了每一个动作。我信心满满地走上台，一开口，评委的'脸上就露出了笑容，我流畅地做着自我介绍、演讲、才艺展示。我们五个人都讲完了，评委进行了认真的点评，最后公布成绩——— 我取得了我们组的最高分！这一次又顺利晋级了！我高兴得心花怒放，合不拢嘴。妈妈也高兴地抱着我亲了又亲。

Firstly, perseverance let people step closely towards success. Most people want to make a big difference to prove their value. People who set their goal and keep moving would make their dream come true. However, there are some people who set their goal but they stop at the difficulty would fail in the end. I think the difference between success and failure is perseverance. If we have perseverance, even if we are not clever, we will make a great difference, but if we not, we are doomed to lose. As we all know, Edison is a great inventor in the world. However, before he invented the bulb, he kept trying for tens of thousands of times to find a suitable wire. Let us imagine, if he gave up at the 999th, then how he couldn’t become so successful. So, I strongly believe that perseverance produces success.

八点一刻，我来到了考试地点——胥江实验中学。我很快就找到了我的考场。我到考场的时候，很多人都来了。我先签到，然后就去找座位了。我发现我们的座位竟然是可以随便坐的。我找了一个靠边的.位子，坐下等待考试的开始。

铃声响了，监考的志愿者把试卷和草稿纸发给了我们。我拿到试卷后，先审题。这次考试一共要写两篇文章，第一篇是看图写对话，要求不少于八句话。我很快就写完了。

第二篇文章是让我们谈谈我们理想中的周末，120个词左右。正好类似的文章我前几天就写过，我的印象还很深刻。我写完后，时间还很多，我就数了数我的词数，一共167个。接着，我检查了一下我的单词有没有拼错，有没有语法错误。

九点半到了，我就交了卷子，离开了考场。

为什么？因为我被肖老师推荐参加一个英语短剧的演出。我因此而忙碌着。这个英语短剧是要参加下关区比赛的，能加入其中是很大的荣幸。如果不是肖老师，我根本没有机会，所以我非常感谢肖老师。

我的角色是“旁白”。不要小看这个角色哦，在整部剧中还是很重要的。

每天放学后，我都要去多媒体教室排练。也许是我的英语没有汪天昊好，也许是我不了解该怎样说好旁白，我常常被miss腾和miss姚纠正单词的读音和音调；而且因为紧张，我几乎只是机械地背诵而不是富含感情地朗诵。

我很害怕，这样下去会有什么不好的结果。

终于，危机真的降临。老师发出了最后通牒：如果再不能让所有的.老师满意，我就要被换掉！听到这个消息，我的“金豆子”吧嗒吧嗒地滴落下来，伤心、难受还有对自己的失望，充满我的心中。可是哭，又有什么用？我擦掉眼泪，望着随风舞动的小草，笑着对自己说：加油，相信自己！

回家后，我拼命地练习，练发音，练语调，对着镜子看自己的表情，一遍一遍，直到我的脸颊麻木。

今天，传来了喜讯：我们的节目获得了下关区第一名！我高兴极了，我的努力终于有了结果！

我们还将参加南京市的比赛，是否能赢，我不能肯定，但是，只要努力，一定会有好的成绩，这一点，我深信不疑！
