谁动了我的奶酪英文读后感 1

The main question "Who Moved My Cheese?" is left unanswered. The book is criticized as a patronizing book that educates followers,

not leaders: out of at least three options to search and chase after new cheese to make the cheese yourself to move the cheese away from the refrigerators of others only the first - and most passive - option is discussed. There are many alternative viewpoints on the Cheese story.

Some managers are known to mass-distribute copies of the book to employees, some of whom see this as an insult or an attempt to characterize dissent as not "moving with the cheese".

Dilbert cartoonist Scott Adams claims that patronizing parables are one of the top 10 complaints he receives in his email.

谁动了我的奶酪英文读后感 2

Who Moved My Cheese by Dr. Spencer Johnson is a deceptively simple yet profoundly insightful allegory that delves into the universal theme of change. Through the stories of four characters—two mice named Sniff and Scurry, and two “Littlepeople” named Hem and Haw—the book presents a vivid exploration of how different individuals respond to unexpected shifts in their lives.

The most striking aspect of the book is its portrayal of the two contrasting approaches to change. Sniff and Scurry, with their animal instincts, sense changes in the Cheese Station early on. They dont waste time lamenting the loss of their familiar cheese supply; instead, they immediately set out to search for new sources. Their actions embody the essence of adaptability and the courage to embrace change. In contrast, Hem and Haw, burdened by their fear and attachment to the past, remain in the empty Cheese Station, hoping that things will return to the way they were. Their hesitation and denial not only prevent them from finding new “cheese” but also lead to self - imposed suffering.

This book serves as a powerful reminder that change is an inevitable part of life. Just as the characters in the story, we all have our own “cheese”—whether its a job, a relationship, or a comfortable routine—and we will inevitably face situations where our “cheese” moves. The key lesson here is that instead of clinging to the past or fearing the unknown, we should be more like Sniff and Scurry. We need to be sensitive to the signs of change, be willing to let go of what no longer serves us, and have the courage to take risks and explore new opportunities.

For me, the story resonated deeply, especially in the context of my own life. There have been times when I resisted change, much like Hem and Haw, and it only prolonged my discomfort. However, after reading this book, I realized that by accepting change as a natural process and proactively seeking new “cheese,” I can not only adapt more effectively but also discover new sources of fulfillment and growth. Who Moved My Cheese is not just a story; its a practical guide that equips us with the mindset and strategies to navigate the ever - changing landscape of life with confidence and resilience.

谁动了我的奶酪英文读后感 3

Who Moved My Cheese offers a unique perspective on how our mindset and attitude shape our response to change. Johnson uses the simple yet engaging narrative of the four characters search for cheese to illustrate the profound impact of perspective on our ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly evolving world.

Sniff and Scurrys success in finding new cheese lies not only in their quick action but also in their positive and flexible mindset. They view change as an opportunity rather than a threat. When they discover the empty Cheese Station, they dont get discouraged; instead, they see it as a signal to embark on a new adventure. Their optimism and willingness to explore uncharted territories enable them to find fresh supplies of cheese much faster.

On the contrary, Hem and Haws perspective is clouded by fear, doubt, and a fixed mindset. Hem, in particular, refuses to accept the reality of the situation and stubbornly insists that the cheese will return. His rigid thinking traps him in a cycle of inaction and despair. Haw, though initially hesitant, eventually realizes the futility of his approach and decides to change his perspective. He begins to see the journey as a chance for self - improvement and growth, which marks the turning point in his story.

This book taught me that our perspective on change is often more important than the change itself. A positive and growth - oriented mindset can transform a potentially stressful situation into an exciting opportunity for learning and development. In our daily lives, we frequently encounter unexpected changes, such as job losses, relationship breakdowns, or personal setbacks. By adopting a mindset similar to that of Sniff and Scurry, or by learning to shift our perspective like Haw, we can better cope with these challenges.

Moreover, the book emphasizes the importance of continuous self - reflection. Haws journey of self - discovery, as he writes down his thoughts on the walls during his search for new cheese, serves as a powerful example. By regularly examining our beliefs, attitudes, and behaviors, we can identify and overcome the mental barriers that prevent us from embracing change. Who Moved My Cheese is a thought - provoking read that encourages us to take control of our perspective and use it as a powerful tool to navigate the uncertainties of life.

谁动了我的奶酪英文读后感 4

Who Moved My Cheese is a timeless classic that imparts invaluable life lessons through its charming and accessible story. The tale of the four characters experiences with the disappearance of their cheese serves as a metaphor for the various changes and challenges we encounter throughout our lives, offering practical wisdom for personal growth and development.

One of the central lessons of the book is the importance of being prepared for change. Sniff and Scurrys habit of regularly exploring the maze, even when their cheese supply was abundant, demonstrates the value of foresight and proactive planning. They didnt wait for a crisis to occur; instead, they were constantly on the lookout for new opportunities and potential changes. In our own lives, we should also cultivate this mindset of preparedness. By staying curious, learning new skills, and being open to different possibilities, we can better anticipate and adapt to changes when they happen.

Another crucial lesson is the significance of taking action. Hems inaction in the face of change led to his stagnation and unhappiness, while Haws decision to leave the comfort of the empty Cheese Station and venture into the unknown was the first step towards his transformation. Too often, we find ourselves paralyzed by fear or indecision when faced with change. However, as the book shows, taking that initial step, no matter how small, is essential for progress. Even if we make mistakes along the way, each step forward brings us closer to finding our new “cheese.”

The story also highlights the role of humility and the willingness to learn. Haws realization that his previous beliefs and assumptions were holding him back, and his decision to let go of his pride and start anew, is a powerful example of personal growth. In life, we must be humble enough to admit when we are wrong, learn from our experiences, and be open to new ideas and perspectives. This willingness to grow and evolve is what allows us to thrive in the face of change.

In conclusion, Who Moved My Cheese is more than just an entertaining story; its a comprehensive guide to living a fulfilling and adaptable life. Its lessons on preparedness, action - taking, humility, and growth are applicable in various aspects of our lives, from our careers and relationships to our personal well - being. By internalizing these lessons, we can navigate the inevitable changes in our lives with greater ease and confidence, and ultimately, find our own “new cheese.”

谁动了我的奶酪英文读后感 5

With a happy but complex feeling, I closed the book and drowned myself into deep thought. I have to recognize that it’s lucky for me to read this book, which is just like a mirror of our daily life.

Two lovely mice Sniff, Scurry together with two little people Hem and Haw live in a big maze. They have to find cheese to feed themselves. Just as their names show, Sniff has a great sense of sniff and Scurry is able to run very fast. However, they are mice with simple thoughts. There’s no doubt that two little people are much cleverer than these mice, which are regarded as low-level creature by people. But the ending is surprising enough: the mice become the lucky dog and firstly adapt the changing situation. While the mice have already found new cheese and tasted the happiness of adventure, our two little people are still discussing the reasons and anglicizing their situation. They are afraid of changing and losing, because their wisdom tells them changing is a dangerous thing. This time, wisdom is no longer an advantage for them. Apparently, humans’ overly complicated and emotional intelligence sometimes do not advance way. The poorest character is Hem, no one knows his fate in the future, but we can imagine how hard it will be. Refusing changes bring him nothing but sadness. Haw is much luckier, though his action is not as quick as two mice, he take changes the moment he awake to his fault and learn a lot from the process. There’s no doubt that Haw’s handwriting on the wall is the brightest point in the whole story. These truths encourage us to go out of the dilemma and adjust ourselves to the changing circumstances and enjoy the changes

Obviously, the maze represents our whole life and cheese represent the valuable things that we pursuit. We ourselves are playing the role of mice or little people in our realistic life. May be you’re mice who can take quick actions to change, then congratulations! But what if you are Hem? I believe no one of us want to be a second Hem without any cheese. So, just try to become Haw, simplify the problems and try new things without worrying. Surprise is ahead of you, success is just there, waiting for you.

In my opinion, this story is a kind of scathing satire on people who don’t have an ability to adapt new surroundings quickly. In the future, change is the only constant. If you don’t want to be eliminated by the changing time, if you want to keep pace with the changing tide, please keep the alertness and give up conservative ideas. The future is full of changes, since you are already in the maze, how to find your" cheese" is the problem you have to deal with. There’s an old saying in China called security is the biggest enemy. No one can deny that a constant job or something will kill people’s passion. But it will lead only two kinds of consequences: you make no progress or your condition becomes much worse. Someone refuse to change because of the fear from the bottom of their heart. If you can’t overcome this psychology barrier, you can’t knock open the door of success. All depends on you, choose to change and have a better life or to be stubborn and lose all the old cheese.

Life is changing. Change is the only constant in the future. All you can do is to try your best to adapt the changing world bravely. God help those who help and change themselves!
